About The Position

Lars Remodeling & Design, an award-winning home remodeling company in San Diego specializing in residential remodels and new home construction, is seeking a Residential Architectural Designer, preferably a Project Architect to join our growing team of professionals. This is a full-time, office-based position. No telecommuting. No consulting. Please do not apply if you are unable to work in our San Diego office.
Candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Collaborate with the team of Project Consultants, Interior Designers, Estimators, Product Specialists, Estimators and Construction Project Managers on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, construction documents and production/construction.
Coordinate with consultants and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
Resolve design problems with creative design solutions.
Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings and construction drawings.
As part of the professional team, assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination from the perspective of an architectural expert.
Meet with clients to better understand project objective.
Ability to present conceptual design options to client.
Delegate and manage Junior Residential Designers' and Drafters' workload and calendars.
Assist Project Manager with construction administration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in residential design in the United States required.
• 3+ years since graduation.
• Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to problem solve individually and with the project team.
• Proficient on AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of materials, construction techniques and building codes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
• No structural engineers.
• No drafters.

Nice To Haves

• Licensed Architect is a plus.
