About The Position

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy, & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time, Residential Aide to join our team! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living. Hours: Full-time Monday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm Tuesday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm Wednesday - OFF Thursday - OFF Friday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm Saturday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm Sunday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Requirements

  • Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
  • Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
  • Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
  • Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
  • Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
  • Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
  • Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
  • Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
  • Complete laundry for clients as needed / scheduled.
  • Communicates in a professional manner with all other staff & supervisors.
  • Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
  • Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
  • Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
  • Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
  • Ability to deescalate
  • Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
