Residential Aide - January Center (Uncasville)
About The Position
The January Center is a residential treatment program, providing individualized treatment services for adult males with problem sexual behaviors that are preparing to leave the criminal justice system. These services are to help educate the individuals on how to manage their problematic behavior. This Residential Aide- will utilize a strengths-based & client-centered approach, providing structure and supervision to justice involved men as they re-enter the community after a period of incarceration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in recovery and/or those who are justice involved or have a client/customer support background and be highly motivated to help others make positive change. An ability to be both structured and compassionate while maintaining professional and respectful boundaries is required. Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
