Our caring team provides personal support in a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. We invite a compassionate and dynamic individual to join us as a Residential Aide for the unit. This role requires collaboration as a team member of the assigned unit to assist counseling staff in delivering a range of alcohol and drug-related services by performing various duties. Please note that all applicants must undergo a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, as well as a comprehensive background check and TB test.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn the dynamics of substance misuse, alcohol, and its effects.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to follow directions.
  • CPR and First-Aid certification (the agency will cover all training and renewal fees).
  • Valid driver's license and insurability.
  • Basic computer skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer prior experience working in a substance misuse setting or a human service agency.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining the unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.
  • Transports patients to and from appointments, support groups, employment searches, and other related activities.
  • Maintains the security of the assigned unit in accordance with CTP policy and procedure.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting child abuse or neglect to the unit supervisor and area director when applicable.
  • Monitors patients and their activities. Accurately documents the activities of each patient during the assigned shift.
  • Responsible for reporting all patient infractions, concerns, or problems to the primary counselor or supervisor.
