Residential Aide - Connection House (Middletown)
About The Position
Position: Residential Aide Program: Connection House Location: Middletown Salary: $20.00/hour Schedule: Per Diem (Days, hours and shifts will vary) Program Summary: Connection House is a residential work release program that provides educational and addiction services to adult males with substance use issues who are preparing to exit the criminal justice system. The three main purposes of the program are to maintain healthy recovery, secure employment, and become productive citizens. Position Summary: The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety, health, and wellness. This position also assists program staff. The ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents. Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
