About The Position

The position involves patrolling a residence and reporting any observations that may lead to loss or damage of property. The individual will monitor resident activities and act to restore order if necessary. Responsibilities include making reports as required, acting as an escort for residents, screening calls and visitors, and monitoring the self-administration of medication. The role also requires completing incident reports in AWARDS, preparing various schedules and updates, maintaining logs, waking clients in the morning, making periodic inspections of clients' rooms, and providing emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Additional related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED required.
  • Some college preferred.
  • One year of experience as a security guard or counselor for the mentally ill preferred.
  • Bilingual, Spanish/English preferred.
  • Valid drivers' license preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy required.
  • CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

Nice To Haves

  • Vaccination preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol residence and report any observations leading to loss or damage of property.

  • Make out reports as required.
  • Act as escort for residents.

  • Monitor the self-administration of medication.
  • Complete incident reports in AWARDS.
  • Prepare laundry schedule, census update, case assignments, roll call sheet, and client probation list.
  • Help maintain transition and facilities logs.
  • Monitor roll call sheet.
  • Wake clients in the morning.
  • Make periodic inspections of clients' rooms.
  • Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
