About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 2 years of applicable experience in a shelter or residential setting.
• Food Handler Certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with others.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of DHS requirements and protocols.
• Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily room and bed inspections.
• Pack up and log items for AWOL residents.
• Escort clients to appointments.
• Assist in the monitoring and development of residents' independent living skills.
• Monitor and track furniture.
• Perform nightly bed counts.
• Fill in for kitchen staff when necessary.
• Resolve conflicts between residents.
• Cover operations desk when necessary.
• Answer phones when necessary.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the building.
• Monitor common areas to ensure proper usage.
