As an RA at EF you have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a highly diverse student population and a high-energy staff. The position provides great flexibility and requires you to wear many hats including administrator, leader, event coordinator, role model, counselor, and policy enforcer (to name a few). This is a job where we truly ask you to bring your personality to the position. Shifts consist of day, night, and weekends, making this a perfect part-time job for someone in school or working a typical 9-5 job. Very rarely, we offer additional weekday availability for trainings. While on duty, you will be performing administrative tasks and be on-call in the residence. We also ask that you help plan and organize activities, monitor buildings and conduct weekly room checks, assist in the everyday safety and wellbeing of students, and attend staff meetings. Additional shifts may be requested to meet the demands of the school operations. We are looking for RAs that not only are friendly and personable while working at the reception desk but also can build meaningful connections with the residents on their floor, even when off-duty! The part-time nature of the position also allows for the flexibility to pursue a graduate degree in related fields or maintain a "day job." Taking night classes cannot conflict with desk duty during the week.
