About The Position

Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. Requirements

• Qualified applicants will have either a Ph.D. in a criminal justice or Subject-matter expert possessing both a master’s degree and substantial professional experience
• Excellent research, writing and grammar skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information
• Familiarity with of Microsoft Office and Canvas

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of specialized, professional experience in either the field of criminal justice
• Five or more years of prior teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office and Canvas

Responsibilities

• Teaching residential undergraduate courses
• Participating in meetings
• Serving the School and the larger university through committee assignments, projects, etc. as assigned by the Chair of Criminal Justice
• Mentoring and meeting with students
• Serving in administrative, project, and project management capacities as assigned by the Chair
• Participating in all other regular responsibilities of adjunct faculty
• Communicate effectively in written and oral formats
• Mobility and ability to travel both between locations on campus and to various off-campus conferences and events
