About The Position

Transportation Coordinator Responsibilities: Arrange for and make resident appointments and transportation for diagnostic and therapeutic services, i.e., lab, x-ray, etc. Answer telephone, route calls, and direct visitors to resident rooms. Assist in admitting, transfer and discharge of residents including arrangement of transportation, belongings and escorting to discharge/transfer area. Ability to assure that all medical record information is protected physically and kept confidential according to HIPPA. Ability to assist the Medical Records Designee, as necessary. Does all things necessary for the resident’s health, safety and welfare. Perform other related duties as directed by nursing or administrative supervision. Demonstrate a positive attitude and behaviors, while contributing to the overall success of the company. All other activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must have excellent computer skills and a strong background in medical terminology.
• Must be able to multi-task.
