Under the supervision of the Residential Group Home Coordinator, Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled (CSDD), assists in the personal care and training of individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting. Candidate is responsible for implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs developed to maximize an individual's potential for increased independence. Typical duties include: training and assisting residents in daily living skills such as personal care; interpersonal communication skills; household cleaning; meal preparation and laundry; implementation of Behavior Treatment Plans which may include the use of therapeutic physical and verbal intervention; maintaining required documentation; and assisting residents in participating in community activities. Attend mandatory staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
