Abode Services, one of the largest and most effective nonprofits working to end homelessness in the Bay Area, is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator for our programs in Alameda County. The Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for providing housing stabilization services to households who are homeless and/or low income. This role involves a variety of services aimed at increasing housing stability, including counseling, referrals to financial and legal services, and the development of individualized housing plans that outline a path to permanent housing stability following financial assistance. The position also entails service coordination to ensure that participants are connected to other necessary supportive services. The Resident Services Coordinator will assist with outreach and recruitment by identifying and referring applicants who meet program criteria and need housing when openings are available. You will conduct weekly meetings with residents to assess their needs and develop individual self-sufficiency/service plans. Additionally, you will facilitate parenting classes, child enrichment activities, and health education workshops, while also providing linkages to community services such as crisis intervention, rehab, income support, and employment assistance. This position requires collaboration with property management and local service providers to create a supportive community environment for residents.
