About The Position

The Resident Services Coordinator is an integral part of the housing teams at Elizabeth Thomas Homes and Monica’s Village Place. They will work closely with management to achieve the common goals of health and wellbeing of the residents as well as sustainability of the properties. The Resident Services Coordinator will divide their time to spend 50% of the week at each location. The purpose of the Resident Services Coordinator is to create community within each property by hosting events, providing information and referrals, and collaborating with other service providers. Connecting residents to social services and programs that focus on housing success, general wellness, employment, education, health and safety is the primary duty of this position. This position is an in person, full time role which will require occasional weekend and evening hours to best serve the residents of each respective community.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year relevant service experience serving low-income individuals.
  • Ability to work independently without direct on-site supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to maintain client and program records, produce community resource and event flyers, and informational materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people from diverse communities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Possession of problem-solving abilities.
  • Well-organized, flexible, creative, able to conduct self in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work within the mission, goals, and objectives of Catholic Community Services.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in assisting people in accessing community agencies and resources, linking with services and working with and understanding of culturally diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of a second language.
  • Knowledge of resources in communities in which properties are located.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 suite of services.
  • WA State Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively and professionally with residents, staff, partners, and community members from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Promotes resident self‑sufficiency and community well‑being by supporting housing stability and access to services through outreach, education, advocacy, and problem‑solving support.
  • Provides direct resident services, including assisting residents with applications and access to income, healthcare, employment, transportation, childcare, and other supportive resources.
  • Maintains knowledge of local and regional resources and develops partnerships with community‑based organizations to support resident needs.
  • Plans, coordinates, and delivers resident programming and community events, including classes, workshops, support groups, outreach activities, and monthly events, in alignment with program goals and budgets.
  • Collaborates with on‑site property management staff to orient new residents, explain resident services, identify residents needing additional support, and address lease or house rule concerns through coordinated strategies.
  • Facilitates resident engagement, including organizing and leading resident meetings and fostering inclusive, respectful, and solution‑focused communication.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of services provided, resident interactions, outcomes, expenses, and in‑kind donations in accordance with program standards.
  • Adheres to confidentiality and privacy requirements, respecting resident rights and following all applicable policies and regulations.
  • Maintains accurate records of time worked and submits timesheets and mileage reimbursements in a timely manner.
  • Participates in required trainings, supervision, and meetings, and contributes as a cooperative and supportive member of a team‑oriented work environment.
  • Maintains positive relationships with residents and businesses in surrounding neighborhoods and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
