About The Position

The Resident Support Coordinator (RSC) supports resident stability, well-being, and access to services across our housing portfolio, with a primary focus on rental buildings. This is a highly resident-facing role that combines direct resident support, service coordination, and cross-team collaboration. The RSC is the primary point of contact for rental residents, assisting with housing processes, connecting them to resources and providing guidance during moments of transition or crisis. This role is part of the Resident Engagement team and works closely with Asset Management and other departments to ensure residents receive coordinated, clear, and compassionate support.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience supporting resident well-being and housing stability with a background in social and resident services.
  • Extensive knowledge of housing stability resources
  • Fluency in Spanish is required, as the majority of residents are Spanish-speaking.
  • Candidates must reside in the immediate San Francisco Bay Area and be able to reliably commute to SFCLT properties and the San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

  • Resident Communication & Triage: Serve as a primary contact for rental residents, triaging phone calls and emails. Conduct follow-up with residents and connect them to appropriate SFCLT staff or external partners as needed
  • Support Access to Social Services: Financial assistance, mental health resources, senior services, domestic violence resources, rehabilitation and recovery services.
  • New Resident Support: Conduct outreach after leasing or acquisition, share welcome materials and provide follow-up communications monthly and annually as well as collect survey feedback.
  • Eviction Diversion & Housing Stability: Assist residents facing nonpayment and provide resources. Maintain and update rental assistance and housing stability resources. Participate in pSFCLT’s Eviction Diversion policy evaluation.
  • Service Provider Outreach & Coordination: Maintain relationships with community organizations focused on financial assistance, mental health, senior support, domestic violence services, and rehabilitation and recommend new service collaborations.
  • Resident Engagement Committee: Support the coordination, outreach and participation efforts of the Resident Engagement Committee
  • Income Certification Support: Assist with resident documentation and income certification.
  • Relocation Assistance: Support residents during temporary relocations due to construction or rehabilitation projects. Help identify temporary housing options, and support with logistics, timelines and documentation.
  • Open House Support: Assist with applicant entry during leasing events and and unit showings.
