About The Position

The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) at Abode Communities plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in affordable housing developments located in Pasadena and Los Angeles. Under the supervision of the Director of Resident Services, the RSC will coordinate and oversee community development activities aligned with the Beyond Homes key initiatives, which include Adult Capacity Building, Housing Retention, Healthy Living, Green Living, Community Engagement, and case management services for seniors. This position is essential in ensuring that residents have ongoing access to necessary resources, intervening when individuals are at risk of losing their housing, and providing connections to social service agencies. The RSC will work to foster a sense of community among residents, promoting wellness and reducing isolation, with the ultimate goal of increasing stability, independence, and the ability to age in place. The RSC will be responsible for tracking programs and referrals through daily attendance, referral notes, case notes, and the Family Metrics database. This role requires a proactive approach to building trust and community among residents, assessing their needs, and recommending specific service plans. The RSC will also develop a comprehensive resource directory, provide linkages to food resources and transportation, and coordinate social, educational, and recreational programs through collaborations with local organizations. Additionally, the RSC will establish a collaborative working relationship with the Property Manager to facilitate open communication regarding resident activities and concerns, conduct annual resident satisfaction surveys, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. This part-time position offers the potential to transition to full-time in 2025, with work hours arranged in coordination with the Supervisor. The RSC will also serve as a resident advocate, empowering residents to advocate for themselves while providing supervision and oversight to program staff and third-party service providers. Regular documentation and tracking of all program activities will be required, along with the preparation of quarterly and annual reports to measure the impact of services provided.
