About The Position

Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus, a not-for-profit community located in Naperville, IL, has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for over 130 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community and a Skilled Nursing Building. We currently have a rare opening for a Full Time Resident Services Assistant on our Supportive Living Campus! HOURLY RATE-$17.00 BENEFITS INCLUDE HEALTH, DENTAL, VISION AVAILABLE FIRST OF THE MONTH AFTER HIRE PAID TIME OFF/HOLIDAY PAY 401K WITH GENEROUS EMPLOYER MATCH EMPLOYER PAID SHORT TERM DISABILITY/LIFE INSURANCE The primary purpose of this position is to supplement the services provide to our residents by assisting with duties necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the residents. Also assists the Resident Services Director with office support, activity support and dining services.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent. A valid Food Handlers license is also required upon hire/Within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience in elder care and or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to be on one’s feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to get around the community to carry out assignments.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate up and down movement including reaching above and below shoulder height.
  • Must be capable of executing all terms and conditions set forth in the Employee Handbook, including, but not limited to: Work in a safety conscious manner, which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to others in the workplace.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to policy on Drug Free Workplace.
  • Interact in a tactful, diplomatic, and humanistic manner with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers to provide a safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective caring environment which ensures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights, and physical safety of each resident and facility guest.
  • Maintain a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming; hygiene, and dress code.
  • Communicates orally and in writing with residents, families, and co-workers
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions; possess excellent communication skills and be able to use communication skill set to promote positive communication between residents, staff, and families.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Work in a safety conscious manner, which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to others in the workplace; Must be energetic, upbeat, patient, and empathetic;
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations;
  • Maintains a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene, and dress code.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with scheduled and planned activities, addressing resident concerns.
  • Assists in the Dining Services Department as assigned.
  • Takes pictures for resident records and activities.
  • Coordinates with Dining Services to provide treats during activities.
  • Schedules and coordinates Beauty Shop.
  • Works as Concierge as scheduled.
  • Conducts tours for prospective residents.
  • Drives and assists with off campus events and shopping.
  • Arranges/enrolls residents with transportation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to facility safety program at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned by the SLC Administrator.
