About The Position

The Resident Services Coordinator position is located in the Nursing Department at Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center Inc. This is a full-time role with a day shift schedule, offering an hourly pay range of $17.00 to $18.00, commensurate with experience. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining and compiling charts for new admissions, ensuring accurate inventory of supplies, assisting with resident transportation, and managing necessary paperwork for physician visits and hospital transfers. The role also includes secretarial duties, maintaining medical records, and adhering to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • Possesses verbal, writing, reading, and computer skills necessary to perform duties.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills.
  • High school graduate.
  • Nurse Aide Certification preferred.
  • Two years experience in clerical work in a medical facility preferred.
  • Successful completion of facility transfer training.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains charts and compiles charts for new admissions, placing in necessary forms.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of supplies by ordering from the Purchasing Department.
  • Assists with transporting residents on campus.
  • Ensures all faxes to and from the facility are sent, picked up, distributed, and filed correctly.
  • Assists with all Physician/Physician Assistant, and Podiatrist visits as required by the Charge Nurse.
  • Performs secretarial duties and transporting duties as needed.
  • Ensures that all file drawers, books, pharmacy, lab, and x-ray forms are kept full.
  • Files necessary paperwork on a routine basis.
  • Assists in obtaining signatures on resident vouchers after prior approval from Accounting Department.
  • Updates CNA Task books.
  • Assists with paperwork for patient transfers to hospitals and calls for ambulance transport.
  • Sets up doctor's appointments and transportation needs for residents.
  • Inputs work orders for maintenance into WorxHub as needed.
  • Delivers and reads mail as requested.
  • Keeps disaster plan identification tags current.
  • Runs task list report on each patient as directed.
  • Cleans charts and nursing station books and equipment as needed.
  • Accesses and safeguards protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees.
  • Performs any other secretarial duties as assigned.
