Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, reconditioning, and servicing Caterpillar and other allied machines, systems, and power train components in a shop and field environment. The role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions and failures of machines' electrical, hydraulic, and power train components. The technician must be able to identify and evaluate root cause failures using electronic tools, schematics, and other troubleshooting methods. Effective communication methods are essential to explain equipment conditions, machine status, and recommendations to clients, associates, and management.
