Overview: Job Description Summary: Provides medical care and treatment to patients under the supervision of attending physicians. Job Description: Essential Functions: Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions under the supervision of attending physicians. Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols. Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals. Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support. Participates in medical research and educational activities, such as grand rounds and conferences, to further medical knowledge and skills. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic school, or international equivalent, required.
  • All trainees functioning in NCH facilities must be in a program that has been approved by the NCH GMEC (Graduate Medical Education Committee) or in an approved residency program of an institution with which NCH has an educational affiliation agreement.
  • Medical License in the State of Ohio or Ohio Training Certificate, required.
  • Meets requirements established by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), other applicable professional organizations, and NCH, for residency training, meets the requirements for the Ohio State Medical Board for licensure as a resident, and has made application to NCH for participation in the Program.
