About The Position

Restaurant Associates is bringing an elevated, multi-venue dining program to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). We are seeking a seasoned Resident General Manager to lead all front-of-house operations and overall business performance across four distinct concepts: a Fine Dining Restaurant, Wine Bar, Café, and a robust Catering & Events program. This is a senior, on-site leadership role for a hospitality executive who thrives in complex, high-profile environments and brings a proven background in luxury dining, cultural institutions, and multi-unit operations. The Resident General Manager serves as the face of hospitality on campus, partnering closely with culinary leadership, museum stakeholders, and Restaurant Associates’ senior leadership team.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of senior hospitality leadership experience, with demonstrated success in multi-unit, multi-concept environments.
  • Strong background in fine dining, luxury hospitality, cultural institutions, hotels, or destination-driven venues is essential.
  • Proven experience leading large, diverse teams across front-of-house, events, and service operations.
  • Deep financial acumen with hands-on experience managing complex P&Ls and high-revenue operations.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable partnering with executive clients and cultural organizations.
  • Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, art, and culture, with a refined understanding of guest experience at the highest level.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full operational leadership across all LACMA dining venues, ensuring consistency, excellence, and alignment with Restaurant Associates’ brand and the museum’s guest experience standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a senior leadership team including General Managers, service leaders, and department heads across fine dining, café, wine bar, and catering operations.
  • Own financial performance across the campus, including multi-million-dollar P&L oversight, labor optimization, forecasting, and cost controls.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to museum leadership, curators, and stakeholders, ensuring dining experiences seamlessly complement exhibitions, special events, and public programming.
  • Oversee all catering and events, from VIP donor dinners and exhibition openings to high-volume galas and institutional events.
  • Partner closely with culinary leadership on service execution, menu rollouts, beverage programs, and guest experience strategy.
  • Ensure café operations meet the needs of daily museum guests and staff, including barista programs, grab-and-go offerings, and seasonal beverage concepts.
  • Champion service culture, professionalism, and hospitality standards across all teams.
  • Uphold and advance sustainability, wellness, safety, and inclusion initiatives in collaboration with Restaurant Associates’ corporate partners.
