Responsible for managing the office engineering functions, including correspondence, submittals, logs, change orders and other documents as required Provide quality control and assurance services for our clients in a lead field role on construction projects Responsible for supervising a field inspection staff to document the contractor’s progress and compliance with contract documents Maintain continuing liaison with new and perspective client managers during the construction project Be involved in the administration, accounting and invoicing of the project with the home office, and the client, including monitoring client payments Maintain/monitor qualifications and certifications of the construction management staff to confirm they satisfy the needs of our clients Work with the client managers in the management of the project Attend and supervise meetings with management, designers, contractors and stakeholders. Assist in the hiring and training of staff to support the project needs Reports to Rail & Transit General Manager and Construction Manager Provides support to the Construction Manager to achieve the goals set forth for projects Maintain designated budgets and level of effort while meeting deadlines Represents the firm as a committee member and/or officer in one or more technical/professional societies May participate in the marketing functions of the firm Works with other Rail & Transit managers to share and obtain work Responsible for compliance with requirements of ISO 9001:2000 Quality System Keeps abreast of developments affecting the delivery of services and recommends changes or initiatives as warranted by such developments. Develops and implements personnel development objectives and identifies training requirements Participate in non-corporate community organizations for social improvement Perform other duties as assigned
