Your new role As our new Resident Engineer, you will engage in various levels of complexity construction related projects which will require the application of standard construction techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related construction/engineering tasks. You must be capable of collaborating and making evaluations and interpretations, exercising independent judgment selecting and applying standard engineering/construction techniques, procedures, and criteria to make design adaptations and modifications.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Required in the state of New York
  • 10+ year's experience in engineering and/or construction management
  • Ability to make decisions affecting the cost and performance of the work
  • Contract management
  • Management of multidisciplinary teams, 5+ personnel
  • Construction schedule review
  • Construction QA/QC

Nice To Haves

  • CCM, USACE CQM, CCCA, or NICET certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing knowledge acquitted in obtaining engineering or construction management degree to analyze the engineering concepts of a project.
  • Overseeing construction management personnel to ensure quality assurance in procedures, methods and materials follow those specified in the contract documents.
  • Oversight of multidisciplinary construction teams including contractors, designers, and engineers.
  • Utilizing knowledge of technical components of a project to ensure those components meet the engineering requirements of the contract documents.
  • Preparing cash flow/budgeting calculations from a critical path schedule and schedule of values in order for the project owner to accurately budget total project cost and to monitor contractors progress and scheduled completion.
