About The Position

Position at The Landing at Cape Elizabeth Inspiring Success, Creating Community Resident Engagement Director Job Summary The Resident Engagement Director will enrich the lives of our diverse resident population. Your mission will be to design, assess, and refine a comprehensive activity program tailored to the unique needs and interests of our residents. This leader will follow all state regulations ensuring compliance to foster a supportive and stimulating environment for all. As the leaders of our community, our Director Team inspires and drives success for everyone, cultivating a wonderful environment to live and work. Criminal Background Screening is required . Requirements

  • 2 years experience working in the geriatric field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with the aging process and/or disability issues.
  • Physically able to move at least 25 lbs. without assistance . May be to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials and the public.
  • I ndividual who aligns with our values of integrity, compassion and respect .
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and oversight for all Activity A ssociates.
  • Oversight of Van drivers and scheduled transportation for all residents.
  • Create activities and calendar of events for community Residents.
  • Produces quality newsletter and calendar of events each month on a timely basis.
  • Develops and facilitates programs that maximize resident participation.
  • Motivates residents to take advantage of program offerings.
  • Coordination of community wide shared activities and shared resources such as entertainers, transportation and supplies.
  • Develop service plan with R esident Care Director and resident to ensure consistent wellness of each resident.
  • Organize monthly resident council meetings and Family council meetings as needed.
