As a Resident Engagement Coordinator, you will oversee and manage the facility's incentive room, offering youth a fun and positive space equipped with various gaming equipment, game stations, and more. You'll ensure the delivery of hot foods and snacks while fostering an environment that promotes pro-social engagement through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). In addition, you'll help develop and lead the Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) program, including managing resident incentives and facilitating access to facility-wide activities such as basketball, pickleball, and flag football. Additionally, you will also be responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility's incentive room, delivering hot foods and snacks while fostering a positive and safe environment. Core responsibilities include and are not limited to: ensuring security and safety by providing sight and direct supervision to residents engaging in incentives activities and programmatic offerings, intervening in behavioral crisis situations to ensure safety through the use of de -escalation strategies and techniques, use team observations of residents' behavior and their adjustment to programs and processes this information with the entire team during weekly team meetings to create strategies for improvement, and provides behavioral coaching to residents, in accordance with program guidelines. This position requires a rotating schedule, including after-hours (5:00 pm to 8:00 pm) and weekend duties. Multiple positions will be filled from this posting. Selected applicants for this position are subject to a background investigation and pre-employment medical and drug screening. Must complete the Department of Juvenile Justice's mandated training and certifications. Requires in-person, face to face work with the public to include staff and/or juveniles in our care. Requires participation in collaborative/multidisciplinary staff meetings.
