About The Position

At the Woodhaven Retirement Community, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive, warm environment, where our residents feel at home, safe, and respected. We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Resident Dining Attendant to join our team and contribute to a positive and meaningful dining experience for our elderly residents. As a Resident Dining Attendant, you will play an important role in delivering warm, personalized mealtime service. You’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere in our dining areas while ensuring residents’ nutritional needs and preferences are met with care and attention.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or caregiving preferred but not required
  • A heart for serving older adults with kindness and patience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, friendly meal service to residents in the dining room
  • Set up dining areas before meals and ensure a clean, welcoming environment
  • Take and deliver meal orders accurately and promptly
  • Assist residents with menu selections, including dietary restrictions
  • Support kitchen staff with light food prep, plating, and dishwashing as needed
  • Follow proper sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and work collaboratively with other team members
