The Resident Dietitian is the face of wellness,sustainability and food and nutrition education.

Requirements

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or RD Eligible
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable
  • Experience working with special diets and food allergies
  • Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications and nutrient analysis programs

Responsibilities

  • Prepare account for USDA administrative review, Buy American, and procurement audit and maintain account audit ready at all times
  • Maintain compliance with FDA package labeling laws and prepare account for board of health inspection
  • Plan modified menus
  • Provides nutrition related training including food allergen training to all associates
  • Assists the management team with menu development and nutrient analysis
  • Collaborates with marketing to ensure appropriate nutrition communication & messaging
  • Leads Dining Services Sustainability efforts – partnering with operations and campus stakeholders to track, improve, and communicate sustainability efforts in all dining spaces
  • Manage accurate and compliant menus in Webtrition and publication in Nutrislice
  • Partner with various campus offices, departments, and organizations to ensure alignment with university goals and needs
