About The Position

The Resident Coordinator (Case Manager) position is focused on providing essential services to individuals with developmental disabilities in a new affordable housing property across Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Santa Cruz Counties. The role emphasizes maintaining housing stability for residents, facilitating independent living, and collaborating with a team of Case Managers to support clients through various challenges related to their housing and personal needs.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience in addiction counseling.
  • Experience in social work.
  • Associate's degree or two years of college (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of affordable housing issues faced by clients.
  • Experience providing direct service to low-income individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resident services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Help tenants maintain housing stability at their rental apartments.
  • Collaborate with a team of Case Managers to deliver housing support services.
  • Troubleshoot challenging situations with residents and assist them in maintaining their housing.
  • Make referrals and marshal resources for clients, including family, social service, legal, and financial assistance.
  • Support clients through interpersonal conflicts and administrative logistics.
  • Guide clients in understanding their lease agreements and tenant rights and responsibilities.
  • Act as a liaison with the property manager, support staff, and family members.
