About The Position

White Horse Village (WHV), a prestigious retirement community located in Newtown Square, PA is seeking to add a Caregiver Support Person to their team! This position is a pool/PRN position.

Duties:

Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLS), encouraging maximum independence:
Dressing/undressing.
Bathing/showering.
Personal hygiene (shaving, dental hygiene, nail care, hair care, foot care).
Mobility devices (cane, walker, wheelchair, crutches)
Monitors safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
Care of equipment such as eyeglasses, contact lenses and hearing aids.
Incontinence care.
Provide assistance with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLS):
Telephone—assist with calls, hearing and vision adaptive devices
Housekeeping tasks such as tidying room, dusting, bed making and ironing
Laundry
Coordinates transportation
Shopping, errands, medical appointments, etc…
Meal preparation
Making appointments
Provide reminders or cues to take medications.
Assist with dining—obtain meals, assist with set-up and with meal consumption as needed.
Assist with health maintenance and monitoring tasks:
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical condition, cognitive and emotional status to supervisor or Outpatient Department as needed.
Monitor for environmental safety hazards.
Report to Program Coordinator or Director of Social Services as appropriate.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in similar role or responsibilities preferred
• Ability to manage time and prioritize
• Impeccable customer service skills
• Must posses a valid drivers license
• Flexibility in scheduling and availability is a requirement

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant a plus!
