Resident Caregiver - Memory Care - Part-time - Evenings

About the position

The Resident Caregiver assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident service plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in personal care and daily living activities
• Provide food service and housekeeping support
• Manage resident behavior and facilitate socialization
• Engage residents in activities and provide orientation
• Address information needs of residents and families

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
• Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
• Previous dementia experience preferred
• Certification required according to state regulations
• Must successfully complete required training
