Your Resident Care Director (LPN or RN) duties and responsibilities are as follows: Position Summary This position provides overall leadership and health care services for residents in the community, including leadership for the development and implementation of health services plans for each resident and directs the work of Care Team Supervisors and Caregivers.

Requirements

  • Board certified Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Experience in senior living

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of nursing experience in a leadership role within long term care
  • Previous nursing experience in memory care

Responsibilities

  • Provide general care and treatment for residents as required within the scope of individual licensure and within the state in which the community is located
  • Provide nursing assessments for current and prospective residents as required by federal/state regulations and/or organizational policy
  • Function as a liaison and advocate for residents with physicians and outside nursing staff
  • Administer all pre-employment and annual staff Tuberculin testing
  • Provide nursing support. Delegates coverage of duties when unavailable
  • Coordinate the selection and hiring of Care Team Supervisors and Caregivers
  • Develop and manage the scheduling for the Care Team Supervisor and Caregivers
  • Direct and monitor the work of Caregivers, i.e., nursing assistants and medication aides, in the community
  • Conduct training as assigned and mandated by regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the Negotiated Services Agreement, including the Health Service Plan, and updating per state regulation and with any significant change
  • Direct and implement the Health Service Plan
  • Function as the primary point of contact regarding resident health care and/or services, proactively communicating with all stakeholders any change in resident condition
  • Meet with current and prospective families to communicate the provision of health care services in the community
  • Promote the scope of services provided within the community to external medical providers
