About The Position

The Resident Care Coordinator at Brookdale Senior Living is responsible for overseeing the caregiving staff and ensuring that residents receive high-quality care in a respectful and dignified manner. Requirements

  • Experience in a healthcare or caregiving environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in senior living or assisted living environments.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Knowledge of state regulations regarding medication assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision of caregiving within the community, ensuring residents are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Monitors job performance of resident care staff and collaborates with community leadership on performance evaluations.
  • Coordinates ongoing training and education for resident care staff.
  • Verifies associate hours on time cards and completes nursing schedules to meet resident needs.
  • Observes residents' health status and reports significant changes to the Health and Wellness Director.
  • Assists in medication management and maintains records as per company policies.
  • May administer medication to residents and monitor staff in medication administration.
  • Communicates with families regarding residents' needs and schedules medical appointments.
  • Participates in service plan reviews with care team members and families.
  • Maintains resident charts and participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Conducts safety and infection control checks of the home and grounds.
  • Participates in community functions and shares on-call duties as required.
