About The Position

The Resident Care Associate is responsible for providing high-quality care and services to residents in assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. This role involves hands-on care, emotional support, and adherence to each resident's Personalized Service Plan (PSP), ensuring a safe and comfortable environment while complying with relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements

• High school education preferred and may be required by the state.
• Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform personal care aspects of the position.
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing is preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development and updates of the Personalized Service Plans (PSP) for residents.
• Follows the hydration schedule for residents during the shift.
• Completes resident meal attendance sheets and ensures room service for those not dining in the dining room.
• Knows and complies with all resident rights.
• Initiates, assigns, and assists with activities as appropriate.
• Checks assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, and any continence issues.
• Uses proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Checks assigned resident rooms for cleanliness and takes appropriate action.
• Assists with conducting laundry and checks common areas for cleanliness and safety hazards.
• Completes all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for assigned residents according to the PSP.
• Responds promptly to security system and resident call bells.
