About The Position

The Resident Care Associate (RCA) performs various resident care activities and assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) in the Memory Care residence. This role involves assisting residents with personal activities such as bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, undressing, and ambulation, changing bed linens, and completing laundry tasks. The RCA helps clients move around safely, assists the Life Enrichment team with programming and activities, and reports any changes in a client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance to a supervisor or case coordinator. They are expected to solve routine client problems, promote healthy lifestyle habits, provide general companionship and advice, and maintain a caring and positive presence for residents. Documentation of services delivered is required in accordance with company policies and procedures. The RCA supports the organization's mission, vision, and values, promotes exceptional customer service through participation in Salemtowne Shines, completes annual compliance and HIPAA training, and adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Active certification in first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes exceptional customer service by participation in Salemtowne Shines & fulfilling the commitments & values of the program.
  • Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Compliance in the performance of their duties.
  • Adheres to Salemtowne’s policies and procedures regarding the compliance program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.
  • Follows all local, state, and federal regulations as they pertain to their position.
  • Adheres to Salemtowne’s policies and procedures covering privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
