About The Position
The Resident Care Associate (RCA) at Freedom Village plays a crucial role in supporting the licensed nursing staff by providing essential assistance with daily living activities for residents. This position is designed not only to offer immediate support but also to serve as a stepping stone towards becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). Freedom Village is committed to the professional development of its staff and offers to cover the costs of CNA classes and state testing through Mtec. Once certified, RCAs will be promoted to CNA status, which comes with an increase in salary. The RCA will assist residents with various tasks including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, and exercising, ensuring that each resident receives the care and attention they need to maintain their dignity and independence. In addition to personal care, the RCA will be responsible for reporting and recording observations related to treatments and procedures, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. The role requires a compassionate individual who can respond promptly to residents' needs, including answering signal lights and assisting with mobility. The RCA will also encourage residents to participate in activities and rehabilitation programs, fostering a sense of community and engagement within the facility.
