About The Position

As a Resident Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents by providing compassionate personal care, supporting daily activities, and offering essential assistance in our assisted living and memory care areas. Your dedication will help create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment where residents feel valued, supported, and at home. Primary Responsibilities: • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. • Help residents with mobility, including transferring them from beds to chairs, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids. • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration according to their dietary needs and preferences. • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging in conversation, recreational activities, and social interactions. • Help residents maintain a clean and organized living environment, including making beds, tidying rooms, and doing light housekeeping tasks. • Escort residents to appointments, activities, and outings as needed. • Follow established care plans and protocols for each resident, ensuring individualized care and attention.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting and caregiver role, preferred.
  • Previous working knowledge of Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) system, preferred.
