Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid HHA or CNA certification/licensure required (Massachusetts)
  • Demonstrate physical ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, and lift/carry up to 20 pounds unassisted or 50 pounds with assistance
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions in English
  • Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
  • Applicants may be subject to a background check.
  • Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with resident care plans.
  • Support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being while fostering dignity, independence, and respect.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and consistent care.
  • Assist with basic medical and supportive care tasks within scope of certification(HHA/CNA).
  • Observe, document, and promptly report changes in residents’ condition or behavior to nursing staff.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment while adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
