About The Position

Mary Wade is searching for a Resident Associate to support the residents of the Boardman Residence physically, socially and emotionally. The Resident Associate’s role is to assist residents with activities of daily living, foster independence and freedom of choice. In addition, the Resident Associate must maintain a clean and hazard-free environment for each resident at all times
Schedule: Full-Time: 40hrs/wk: 11 pm to 7 am
Hourly Rate Range: $17.50

Nice To Haves

• Prior group home or nursing home experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide daily assistance with personal care; dressing, undressing, bathing, personal hygiene (dental, shaving, nail care), removal of soiled laundry.
• Assists with personal care of residents and provides for physical comfort and safety of residents
• Obtain vital signs and record, as directed.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize urinals and commodes.
• Prepare residents for meals to assigned tables, kitchen cleanup, as assigned.
• Escort residents to recreation programs and conduct recreation programs, as assigned.
• Deliver mail and newspapers, daily.
• Perform housekeeping tasks daily; clean assigned bathrooms and common areas, vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting, windows, emptying trash, making beds, changing bed linens, as assigned.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and/or cognitive/emotional status to CMT, Nursing Supervisor, and Director of Resident Services.
• Conduct room checks, rounds, and monitor and report environmental safety hazards to Director of Resident Services.
• Promptly respond to resident call lights.
