Requirements

• Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program.
• Current certification in Minnesota within 4 months of employment.
• Demonstrated competencies in person-directed, resident-directed practice.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and services to residents to support their choices.
• Provide medical and physical care to residents to meet their daily needs.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking.
• Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in resident health status.
• Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established clinical best practices.
• Participate actively in the resident’s care planning and care conference.
• Create a positive dining experience for customers and assist residents with eating.
• Encourage resident participation in the dining program and meal activities.
• Greet each person with warmth and sincerity and anticipate needs.
