About The Position
About the Role: We’re seeking a compassionate Full-Time Home Care Resident Assistant to provide quality physical, psychoâsocial, and social support to residents in their home environments. Duties include personal care, meal prep, medication reminders, errands, companionship, light housekeeping, and escorting residents to appointments. Community Location: Located near West Chester, PA, Wilmington, DE, and Maryland, our community is nestled on 500 acres of rolling hills, green meadows, and beautiful gardens. Adjacent to famous Longwood Gardens, residents and staff enjoy the local cultural opportunities, vibrant towns, and working in an oasis in the heart of the Brandywine valley.
Requirements
- Completion of approved nursing assistant program + certification exam
- 1+ year of home care or longâterm care experience
- Valid PA driver’s license & reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to lift/transfer 50–250 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, and bending
Responsibilities
- Deliver care per individualized care plans
- Maintain annual education and required state certifications
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the Home Care Manager
- Document care accurately and promptly
- Keep resident environments clean and follow infection control guidelines
- Escort residents to medical appointments and ensure proper paperwork and comfort throughout the visit
