About The Position
The Resident Assistant (RA) provides hands-on support to older adults and individuals with disabilities who need daily assistance. This role focuses on helping residents maintain independence, dignity, and comfort in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support use of walkers, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, phone use, and mail
- Provide assistance with meals, including setup, service, and cleanup
- Support medication routines and observe/report changes in resident condition
- Escort residents to activities, appointments, and outings
- Participate in resident activities and encourage engagement
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
