About The Position

TowerLight Senior Living is located in historic St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Only 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, we are near public transportation and the crossroads of Highways 7 and 100. Our community offers 115 units of beautifully appointed Independent Living Apartments, innovative Assisted Living Apartments, state-of-the art Memory Care and Enhanced Care Suites (as well as an intergenerational day care). Towerlgiht on Wooddale is looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide whom would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior age assisted living/memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being for our beautiful location in St Louis Park, MN. No CNA MN NAR required, unless under 18 years old. This part-time caregiver schedule includes; 48 hours per two-week pay period Day shift Every other weekend and holiday rotation Full Benefits package

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate optimally, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers
  • Ability to work in a team setting and support others
  • Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population
  • CNA certificated if under 18

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course
  • Previous work experience as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA

Responsibilities

  • Supports residents with daily living activities, including: Bathing
  • Foot and fingernail care
  • Shaving
  • Dressing
  • Hair care
  • Feeding
  • Toileting
  • Assistance with hearing aids and/or glasses
  • 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lifts
  • Assists with treatments as outlined in individualized care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (e.g., blood glucose monitoring).
  • Administers or assists with medications, including insulin injections, as directed by a Registered Nurse.
  • Takes and records vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • May assist with household tasks including laundry, cleaning, meal service, and resident activities.
  • Monitors and reports changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition (e.g., mood, appetite, weight).
  • Communicates observations to appropriate staff and contributes relevant input to care planning.
  • Acts as a mandated reporter, promptly reporting any concerns related to potential mistreatment.
  • Responds appropriately to resident needs and building emergencies, following established protocols.
