About The Position

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Resident Assistant for the Test and Evaluation Pathfinder Internship Program. This program, developed from a Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) decision, aims to establish more cyber workforce development opportunities in the test and evaluation (T&E) career field. Interns will explore the U.S. Government’s Test & Evaluation, focusing on Cyber Security and Software, gaining in-depth knowledge, applying skills to various projects, and expanding their professional networks. The Resident Assistant (RA) serves as a key liaison between students in UCF residential halls and the Office of Housing and Residence Life. RAs are crucial for fostering a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive community, assisting with the administration and enforcement of housing and university policies, offering peer support, providing educational programming, and serving as a primary resource for student needs related to campus living and academic success.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
  • High school diploma and working towards a bachelor’s degree
  • Organized able to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • Excitement for and orientation to constant learning

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Currently enrolled at a university with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have completed at least one year at UCF or another university
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and involvement on campus

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Prior experience in conflict resolution, peer counseling, or as a RA
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of university resources and student support services

Responsibilities

  • Organize and execute social, educational, and cultural programs that enhance community engagement and student learning
  • Facilitate floor/building meetings to discuss residence hall policies and upcoming events
  • Encourage a living environment respectful of diversity and inclusivity
  • Monitor compliance with university and housing policies within the residence halls
  • Report violations and collaborate with the housing staff to manage disciplinary procedures
  • Serve as a role model for responsible and ethical behavior
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, referring them to appropriate campus resources when needed
  • Assist residents with conflict resolution and interpersonal issues
  • Maintain availability through scheduled on-call shifts for emergency response and resident concerns
  • Conduct regular room inspections and report maintenance issues
  • Assist with the check-in and check-out processes at the beginning and end of each term
  • Maintain accurate records of programming efforts and resident interactions
  • Participation in training milestone events facilitated by Millennium Corporation Mentors
