About The Position

The Resident Assistant Park Manager position at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park involves assisting the Park Manager in overseeing park operations, managing staff, and ensuring visitor services and resource management. Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to reside on park property.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and construction.
• Skill in using a variety of hand tools and operating vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage work priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Park Manager in leading and overseeing park operations.
• Supervise and mentor park staff, including 5 Park Rangers and 1 Museum Guide.
• Coordinate visitor services and interpretive programs for the park.
• Manage resource management programs, including prescribed burning and native species propagation.
• Identify and supervise maintenance needs for park facilities and infrastructure.
• Enforce park rules and ensure safety inspections are conducted.
