About The Position

The Lodge of Howard Lake is seeking a full-time overnight Resident Assistant Medication Aide. This position involves working the overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM for a total of 26 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required. An additional $2.50/hr night differential is applied to hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM. The facility is a small 18 apartment assisted living facility located in Howard Lake, MN, where residents enjoy 24-hour staffing to help maintain their independence. With an active MN CNA, the wage range is $18.00 - $25.50 based on applicable experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies per state guidelines prior to hire.
• Must meet the minimum state age requirement if working at a facility that utilizes a lift to move residents.

Responsibilities

• Provides care and services such as medication administration, healthcare services, and activities of daily living assistance.
• Assists residents with self-administration of medications and may administer medications with proper training.
• Helps residents maintain proper and clean appearance, including bathing and cleanliness of all body areas.
• Assists residents with toileting needs and dressing/undressing.
• Assists residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking.
• Obtains vital signs accurately and reports changes in resident health status.
• Adheres to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following aseptic cleaning techniques.
• Demonstrates safe and proper techniques for chemical use and follows SDS guidelines for any exposure.
• Assists with preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks to residents.
• Cleans residents' rooms, bathrooms, work areas, and other public areas.
• Participates in community involvement and works with volunteers.
