About The Position

Under the direction of the USU Eastern Director of Campus Life, the Housing Resident Advisor (RA) is a student leadership position responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaged residential community. This is a 4‑month, live‑in contracted position with primary responsibilities focused on community building within Housing. Compensation includes a private room, meal plan, and a monthly stipend. Resident Advisors are expected to work between 2–10 hours per week and are eligible for additional scholarships as well as other part-time employment opportunities on campus. This position will begin on August 11, 2026.

Requirements

  • Enrolled as a student at USU Eastern
  • Have no active or pending conduct sanctions through the Director of Students Office
  • Dependable
  • Good communication skills

  • Document size may not exceed 10 MB

Responsibilities

  • Serve on an on-call team with other Resident Advisors/Hall Directors.
  • Perform Health & Safety Checks
  • Report any incidents
  • Build relationships with residents and be a resource to them
  • Assist in the opening and closing of Residence Halls
  • Stay for the duration of the Spring semester to complete the check-out process
  • Making contact with prospective students through email, phone calls, and text.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
