About The Position

The Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator for Internal Medicine plays a crucial role in the administration and support of the residency and fellowship programs. This position collaborates closely with the Program Director, Program Administrator, Associate Program Directors, Chief Residents, and other program leadership, as well as the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office, to ensure compliance with all Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and institutional policies and regulations. The coordinator is an integral member of the program leadership team, essential for maintaining the accreditation status of the program. The coordinator is responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks that are vital to the training program's operations. These responsibilities include recruitment, compliance, onboarding, offboarding, educational support, event planning, and scheduling. The coordinator serves as a primary resource for learners, faculty, and administrative staff, ensuring that all aspects of the program run smoothly and efficiently. Key duties include preparing for annual Program Evaluation and Clinical Competency Committees meetings, ensuring timely submission of required reports to the GME and ACGME, coordinating recruitment activities, managing onboarding processes for incoming residents, creating rotation schedules, overseeing evaluations, assisting with conference logistics, and supporting compliance and testing efforts. The coordinator also plays a significant role in managing the program budget and preparing reports and presentations as needed. Additionally, the coordinator is involved in planning graduation activities and engaging alumni in program events.
