The Residence Manager at CDS Monarch plays a crucial role in advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring that their needs are met and their rights are protected within the residence. This position involves providing supervision, assistance, and training to Direct Care staff, ensuring that all responsibilities are fulfilled effectively. The Residence Manager is responsible for coordinating health care appointments, administering medications in accordance with agency policies, and maintaining accurate records for each resident. This includes overseeing financial accounts, ensuring that residents receive their personal income, and participating in the development of personal futures plans for each individual. In addition to these responsibilities, the Residence Manager is tasked with maintaining staffing schedules, conducting quality assurance reviews, and providing performance appraisals for staff. The role also involves screening and interviewing applicants for residence positions, facilitating team meetings, and ensuring that all household tasks are completed, including meal preparation and grocery shopping. The Residence Manager acts as the administrator on duty for the Residential Program on a rotating basis, ensuring that the home environment is nurturing and supportive for all residents. This position requires a strong commitment to the agency's mission and values, as well as adherence to all policies and procedures. The Residence Manager must also attend mandatory training sessions and maintain required certifications, acting as a professional representative of CDS Monarch in all interactions.
