About The Position

The Residence Manager for OPWDD Residence is responsible for the overall daily operations and management of the residential Developmental Disabilities Program. This role ensures compliance with Unique People Services, OPWDD, and various contractual and legal obligations while providing comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The manager supervises and mentors staff, oversees service delivery, and manages the residence's budget and financial transactions.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
  • Mid-level administrative experience necessary to create written reports.
  • Ability to manage the monthly budget and oversee financial transactions.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Comfort with diversity in a multicultural community.
  • Experience with developmental disabilities individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD/HRA/social services agencies and community-based supportive services.
  • Valid Class D Driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Assume overall daily operational and managerial responsibility for the residential Developmental Disabilities Program.
  • Ensure compliance with Unique People Services, OPWDD, and various contractual and legal obligations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and hire staff for the residence.
  • Confirm all staff adhere to and execute assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Manage the monthly budget and petty cash for the residence.
  • Oversee individuals' banking financials and maintain an account of all transactions.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure appropriate intervention services.
  • Interview and select prospective candidates for staff positions.
  • Onboard, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as needed.
  • Ensure staff attends mandated and in-service training.
  • Initiate and implement activities with minimal oversight and supervision.
  • Establish priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task effectively.
