About The Position

The Residence Hall Director (RHD) position at Wilkes University is a part-time, live-in role designed for graduate students passionate about Student Life and Residence Life. The RHD will play a crucial role in managing a residential area, supporting students, and collaborating with Residence Life Professional Staff to enhance the residential experience on campus.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Enrollment in a graduate degree program (Higher Education/Student Affairs/Counseling preferred).
• Prior experience in Residence Life as an undergraduate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and management of a residential area of the Wilkes University campus.
• Supervise staff and oversee residential education programming.
• Enforce college policy and manage facilities.
• Conduct regular follow-ups and appropriate campus referrals with students experiencing difficulties.
• Participate in the Office of Residence Life on-call rotation.
• Be visible and approachable to Resident Assistants and residents.
• Meet with staff in one-on-one and group settings.
