About The Position

The oversight of Shiple Hall. Including but not limited to: RA supervisor, Conduct Hearting Officer, After Hours Duty response, community development.

Requirements

  • Education - A college degree or four to eight years of work experience in a related field.
  • Employment - Six months to two years (Equivalent combination of education and employment).
  • The ability to objectively problem solve, crisis response, and diplomatically help others solve problems. Regular interaction and support of first year students is required.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate regularly scheduled staff meetings, individual meetings with the director, individual meetings with staff members and Residence Life meetings.
  • Provide leadership to an area staff in the achievement of the programmatic goals and objectives of that area with supervision of hall staff.
  • Serve as a judicial hearing officer for Residence Life.
  • Serve as on call staff for Residence Life on a rotation basis for nights, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, coordinate and support for emergencies and serious incidents.
  • Assist with the overall departmental functions: Including office operations, staff selection and training and development, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, recognition, and evaluation.
  • Assist in the professional staff responsibilities of all residential openings and closings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
